Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.

On December 27, 2012, M/I Homes, Inc. (the “Company”) filed a Form 8-K disclosing that Michael P. Glimcher had been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors effective January 1, 2012. Committee assignments for Mr. Glimcher had not been determined as of the filing of the Report. This Form 8-K/A amends the Report to disclose that on May 7, 2013, upon the recommendation of the Nominating and Governance Committee, the Company's Board of Directors appointed Mr. Glimcher to serve on the Nominating and Governance Committee of the Board.
