Item 8.01.Other Events.
On March 25, 2013, The First Bancorp, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it expects to offer and sell approximately $10.75 million of common stock in an underwritten public offering through Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc. The shares will be issued pursuant to a prospectus supplement filed as part of an existing shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Form S-3. A copy of the press release is included as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
