Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On March 19, 2013, Kenneth Vecchione, President and Chief Operating Officer of Western Alliance Bancorporation (the "Company"), announced that he would be resigning his position, effective April 5, 2013, in order to become the chief executive officer of another publicly traded, non-banking company. Mr. Vecchione will continue to serve on the Company’s Board of Directors and will continue to serve as Chairman of the Company’s Finance and Investment Committee and as Vice-Chairman of Bank of Nevada.
