Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On March 19, 2013, Ronald R. Zideck informed Monarch Casino & Resort, Inc. (the “Company”) that he does not intend to stand for re-election when his term as a member of the Company’s board of directors expires at the 2013 annual meeting of stockholders. Mr. Zideck’s decision not to stand for re-election does not involve any disagreement with the Company, its management or board of directors.
Mr. Zideck commented: “I am very appreciative for having the opportunity of representing the Company and its stockholders as a member of the board of directors for the past 13 years. I wish the Company continued success in the future as it continues to grow and be recognized for its outstanding performance.”
