Item 8.01. Other Events.
On March 11, 2013, First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that it will redeem all of its four million outstanding depositary shares relating to its 7.25% Series J Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock. The redemption price will be $25.00 per depositary share plus accrued and unpaid dividends to the date of redemption. The settlement of this redemption is expected to occur on April 11, 2013.
Attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference is a copy of the Company’s press release dated March 11, 2013, announcing the redemption and certain other information.
