Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On March 8, 2013, Chesapeake Energy Corporation (the “Company”) filed papers seeking a declaratory judgment in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York with respect to redeeming the Company’s 6.775% Senior Notes due 2019 at par. A hearing is set on the Company’s motion for March 12, 2013. On March 8, 2013, the Company issued a press release which is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
