Item 8.01 Other Events
On January 7, 2013 First M&F Corporation (the “Company”) received notice from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (the “Federal Reserve”) that the informal memorandum of understanding effective November 11, 2009 between the Federal Reserve and the Company has been terminated by the Federal Reserve. With this development, all regulatory agreements and understandings with the primary banking regulators of the Company and its subsidiary M&F Bank have been rescinded, terminated, or lifted.
