On January 3, 2013, Lightstone Value Plus Real Estate Investment Trust, Inc. issued a press release to announce its acquisition of three Marriott-branded hotels located in Iowa and Ohio from an unrelated third party for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $21.0 million. A copy of such press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
