Item 8.01. Other Items.
On November 16, 2012, the Company announced that Valley Financial Corporation (the "Company"), the holding company for Roanoke, VA-based Valley Bank, completed its previously-announced redemption of the first 10% of its TARP preferred stock through payment to the U.S. Treasury in the amount of $1,619,778.78, which includes accrued and unpaid dividends of $19,777.78.
The Company's common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbol VYFC.
