On September 19, 2012, Donald R. Breivogel, Jr., Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and a director of Springleaf Finance Corporation (the “Company”), advised the Company of his intent to retire and to resign as an officer and director of the Company and its subsidiaries on or about December 31, 2012.  The Company anticipates that Macrina Kgil, a Vice President of Fortress Investment Group LLC (“Fortress”), an affiliate of the Company, will be assuming the position of Chief Financial Officer upon Mr. Breivogel’s retirement.  Ms. Kgil, age 37, has been a Vice President at Fortress since January 2008.  Prior to that, she was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers.  She will be joining the Company on October 1, 2012, as a Controller.
