Item 8.01. Other Events.
On September 7, 2012, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (the “Company”) issued a news release announcing that the Company had finalized settlement agreements with the United States Department of Justice and the United States Environmental Protection Agency related to the Company's previously disclosed product registration and recall matters. A copy of the news release is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
