Item 8.01 Other Events
On September 7, 2012, Hudson Valley Bank, N.A. (the “Bank”), the operating subsidiary of Hudson Valley Holding Corp. (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing the passing of William E. Griffin, a member of the Company’s Board of Directors and former Chairman of the Board of both the Bank and the Company.
A copy of the press release, which is incorporated herein by reference, is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
