On August 31, 2012, United Rentals, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it will participate in the RBC Capital Markets Global Industrials Conference on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. At the conference, Michael Kneeland, chief executive officer of the Company, and William Plummer, chief financial officer, will present information regarding the Company, which may include a discussion of the Company’s business, financial performance and forward-looking information. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 2:40 p.m., Pacific Time. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
