On August 28, 2012, William T. Yardley was appointed to the Board of Directors of Spectra Energy Partners GP, LLC (“SEP GP LLC”), the general partner of Spectra Energy Partners (DE) GP, LP, which is the general partner of Spectra Energy Partners, LP (the “Partnership”). SEP GP LLC is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Spectra Energy Corp (“Spectra Energy”).
Mr. Yardley currently serves as Group Vice President for Spectra Energy Transmission, Northeast. He succeeds R. Mark Fiedorek as a director of SEP GP LLC. Mr. Fiedorek, currently the Group Vice President of Spectra Energy Transmission, Southeast, resigned as a director of SEP GP LLC effective on August 28, 2012.
On August 28, 2012, the Partnership issued a press release announcing the appointment described above. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
