Item 8.01. Other Events.
On August 23, 2012, the Board of Directors of Beacon Federal Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) declared a cash dividend on the Company’s common stock of $0.07 per share. The dividend will be payable to stockholders of record as of September 11, 2012 and is expected to be paid on September 21, 2012.
A copy of the press release dated August 23, 2012, giving details associated with the dividend is attached as Exhibit 99 to this report.
