Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On August 2, 2012, Beam Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release reporting its financial results for the second quarter of 2012 and providing guidance for the full year. A copy of the Company's press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. Pursuant to general instruction B.2 to Form 8-K, the information furnished pursuant to Items 2.02 and 7.01 shall not be deemed to be "filed" for purposes of Section 18 of the Exchange Act or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section.
