ANCHOR BANCORP ANNOUNCES
ADDITIONAL PROVISION FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER AND FISCAL YEAR END

Lacey, WA (July 20, 2012) – Anchor Bancorp (NASDAQ:GS – ANCB) (“Company”), the holding company for Anchor Bank (“Bank”), today announced that it has increased its quarterly provision for loan losses by $1.1 million from $300,000 to $1.4 million for its fourth fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2012.   The additional provision was established as a result of updated information received by the Company on a commercial and industrial loan.

The increase in the fourth quarter provision for loan losses is expected to result in a net loss for the quarter between $325,000 and $525,000.
