Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On July 17, 2012, American Capital Agency Corp. (the "registrant") issued a press release announcing its preliminary estimates of select financial data as of and for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 (the "Release").
Pursuant to General Instruction F to the Securities and Exchange Commission's Current Report on Form 8-K, the Release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and the information contained in the Release is incorporated into this Item 2.02 by this reference.
