Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 8, 2012, the company announced that it expects to incur a special charge in the second quarter of 2012 of approximately $600 million to increase its accrual for the potential settlement of previously disclosed civil litigation matters related to RISPERDAL® (risperidone), INVEGA® (paliperidone), NATRECOR® (nesiritide) and Omnicare, Inc.
