On June 7, 2012, the Registrant issued a press release announcing the selection of Susie Lees as executive vice president and general counsel of The Allstate Corporation, effective as of June 7, 2012, and the retirement of Michele Coleman Mayes as executive vice president and general counsel.  A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99 to this report.
