Item 8.01 Other Events.
On April 4, 2012, Validus Holdings, Ltd. issued a press release announcing the capitalization of PaCRe, Ltd. a new Class 4 Bermuda reinsurer formed to combine the attractive returns available from underwriting top layer reinsurance programs with a long term approach to asset management. The full text of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
