Retirement of Principal Financial Officer
Mr. David E. Adante, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of The Davey Tree Expert Company (the “Company”), notified the Company on February 3, 2012 of his intention to retire effective on or about March 15, 2013. Mr. Adante was elected Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary in May 1993.
Retirement of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Davey Tree Surgery Company
Mr. Howard D. Bowles, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Davey Tree Surgery Company (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company), also notified the Company on February 3, 2012 that he has elected to retire effective on or about March 31, 2012. Mr. Bowles was elected Senior Vice President and General Manager of Davey Tree Surgery Company in January 2000.
The Company has initiated a process to identify candidates to replace Messrs. Adante and Bowles and expects to have their successors in place before their scheduled retirement dates.
