Item 8.01. Other Events.
On February 6, 2012, Forestar Group Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the Company has rescheduled the release of fourth quarter and full year 2011 results from February 8 to February 22, 2012. The company has executed a letter of intent to purchase real estate assets owned by unconsolidated ventures. If completed, the company is required to include the effect of the transaction in 2011 results. The company expects to have a definitive agreement executed by February 22, 2012. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 of this report.
