         On January 18, 2012, First Farmers and Merchants Corporation issued a press release announcing its steady growth in 2011 with bank assets crossing the $1 billion mark and Trust and Financial Management Department assets surpassing the $3 billion threshold and paying its 120^th consecutive semi-annual dividend.
