(b) On January 17, 2012, First South Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release reporting that Tom Vann announced his intention to retire from his positions as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and its wholly-owned subsidiary, First South Bank, at the end of the third quarter of 2012.
A copy of the press release dated January 17, 2012 is attached to this Report as an exhibit (Exhibit 99.1) and is furnished herewith.
