OYO Geospace Announces $14.7 Million Order for 14,200 Channels of its GSR Wireless Data Acquisition Equipment

 

Houston, Texas - January 12, 2012 - OYO Geospace (NASDAQ: OYOG) today announced it received a $14.7 million order from TGC Industries, Inc. ("TGC") to purchase 14,200 additional single-channel GSR wireless data acquisition units and related equipment. Upon delivery of this equipment by the Company, TGC will own more than 32,000 single-channel GSR wireless units. The Company expects to deliver this equipment in January 2012.

OYO Geospace designs and manufactures instruments and equipment used by the oil and gas industry in the acquisition and processing of seismic data as well as in reservoir characterization and monitoring activities. The company also designs and manufactures equipment and film for the thermal printing industry worldwide.
