UDR Prices $400 Million of Senior Unsecured Notes Due 2022

DENVER—(BUSINESS WIRE)— UDR, Inc. (NYSE: UDR) announced today that it has priced a $400 million offering of 4.625% senior unsecured notes under its existing shelf registration statement. Interest is payable semiannually on January 10 and July 10 with the first interest payment due July 10, 2012. The notes will mature on January 10, 2022. The notes were priced at 99.100% of the principal amount plus accrued interest from January 10, 2012 to yield 4.739% to maturity.

The notes are fully and unconditionally guaranteed by United Dominion Realty, L.P.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of $100,000,000 aggregate principal amount of 5.00% senior unsecured notes due 2012. The settlement of the offering is expected to occur on January 10, 2012.

Citigroup and J. P. Morgan were the joint book-running managers for the offering. Credit Suisse and Morgan Keegan were the co-managers for the offering.
