Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On January 9, 2012, MAKO Surgical Corp. (the “Company”) issued a press release, furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated into this Form 8-K by reference, announcing the number of RIO® Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic Systems sold, the number of MAKOplasty® Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) applications sold, the percentage of domestic commercial installed base having the MAKOplasty THA application, and the number of MAKOplasty procedures performed in 2011, as well as the Company’s 2012 annual guidance.
