Item 8.01 Other Events.
On January 4, 2012, Synergy Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the European Patent Office upheld the Company’s grant of claims to plecanatide.
On December 29, 2011, the Company voluntarily dismissed its lawsuit in New York against Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and its Chief Scientific Officer without prejudice.
