On December 20, 2011, Jeffrey Webster, Chief Operating Officer of Solazyme, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company that it was necessary for him to resign his position with the Company effective immediately due to health and personal reasons. Mr. Webster joined the Company on September 12, 2011. His resignation is solely for health and personal reasons and he will be returning to Arkansas to retire with his family. Solazyme thanks Mr. Webster for his brief but positive tenure and wishes him and his family the best.
