On December 19, 2011, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System approved the acquisition by The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) of RBC Bank (USA). On December 23, 2011, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency approved the merger of RBC Bank (USA) with and into PNC Bank, which is planned to occur immediately following PNC’s acquisition of RBC Bank (USA). The closing of these transactions is scheduled for March of 2012, subject to customary closing conditions.
