On December 13, 2011, Tom Underwood, Chief Executive Officer of Alere Health, LLC, the company’s
health management subsidiary, notified the company that he intended to resign. His duties will be
absorbed by other members of the management team. The effective date of the resignation is expected
to be in January 2012.
