On December 2, 2011, Hecla Mining Company (the “Company”) issued a news release with respect to the Report of Investigation issued by the United States Department of Labor Mine Safety and Health Administration (“MSHA”) relating to the fall of ground that occurred at the Lucky Friday Mine on April 15, 2011. The news release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
