On November 16, 2011, Salix issued a press release announcing that the FDA Advisory Committee supports the Company’s proposed clinical trial design to evaluate repeat treatment cycles of Xifaxan® for irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. A copy of this press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
