On November 18, 2011, Bassett Furniture Industries issued a news release announcing that its Board of Directors has declared a special dividend of $0.50 per share of common stock outstanding payable on January 3, 2012 to holders of record on December 23, 2011. A copy of the news release is attached to the report as Exhibit 99.
