Item 8.01 - Other Events.
On November 17, 2011, Magnetek, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that the Board has approved a 1-for-10 reverse split of our common stock. The Company intends to effect the reverse stock split as of the close of trading on December 2, 2011, such that the Company's common stock (NYSE symbol “MAG”) will commence trading at its post-split price at the opening of the market on December 5, 2011. However, such timing will be subject to the final determination of the New York Stock Exchange. The ticker symbol for the Company will not change, but the Company will be issued a new CUSIP number, 559424403. A copy of the Company's press release relating to the planned reverse stock split is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
