On November 2, 2011, BFC Financial Corporation (the “Company”), the majority shareholder of BankAtlantic Bancorp, Inc. (“BankAtlantic Bancorp”), issued a press release announcing its support of BankAtlantic Bancorp’s proposed sale of its wholly-owned subsidiary, BankAtlantic, to BB&T Corporation. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1
