Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

     On October 28, 2011, Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release in Canada to clarify and supplement its previously released mid-year reserve report as announced on July 14, 2011 to provide certain disclosures as required by applicable Canadian securities laws. The press release includes proved and probable reserves (on a gross and net basis) and the Company’s estimates of “contingent resources,” each calculated in accordance with Canadian National Instrument 51-101 — Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities.

     In accordance with General Instruction B.2 of Form 8-K, the information in this Current Report on Form 8-K, including Exhibit 99.1, shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act”), or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section, nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference into any registration statement or other filing of the Company under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or the Exchange Act, except as otherwise expressly stated in such filing.
