ITEM 2.02 — RESULTS OF OPERATIONS AND FINANCIAL CONDITION
On October 28, 2011 Calpine Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its financial and operating results for the quarter ended September 30, 2011. A copy of the press release is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto. As set forth in the press release, the Company will host a conference call to discuss its financial and operating results for the third quarter of 2011 on Friday, October 28, 2011, at 10 a.m. ET / 9 a.m. CT. A listen-only webcast of the call may be accessed through the Company’s website at www.calpine.com, or by dialing 888-771-4371 in the United States or 847-585-4405 outside the United States. The confirmation code is 30885847.
