Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On October 25, 2011, Gannett announced that its Board of Directors has elected Susan Ness to serve as a director of the Company, effective immediately. Her Board committee assignments will be determined at a later date.
A press release announcing the election of Ms. Ness to the Gannett Board of Directors is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
