On October 26, 2011, Encore Wire Corporation, a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), issued
an earnings release describing selected financial results of the Company for the third quarter of
2011 and the nine months ended September 30, 2011 (the “Earnings Release”). A copy of the Earnings
Release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
