Item 8.01. Other Events
On October 12, 2011, the Board of Directors of Echelon Corporation (the “Company”) appointed Ronald A. Sege as the Company’s Chairman of the Board. The Board of Directors also reaffirmed the appointment of Robert J. Finocchio, Jr. as the Lead Independent Director for the Company’s Board of Directors.
On October 18, 2011, Echelon Corporation issued a press release regarding such appointment and reaffirmation. The full text of this press release is furnished in this report as Exhibit 99.1.
