ITEM 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On October 18, 2011, BPZ Resources Inc., (“the Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company has been approved to list its common shares on the Bolsa de Valores Exchange in Lima, Peru (BVL). The Company’s common shares will trade in the United States dollar currency on the BVL under the symbol BPZ. A copy of the press release dated October 18, 2011 is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
