Beginning on October 17, 2011, The First Marblehead Corporation (the “Corporation”) will be making presentations to various attendees of the ABS East 2011 Conference, an industry conference focused on the U.S. securitization market. A copy of the Corporation’s presentation is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K and incorporated under this Item 7.01 by reference.
