ITEM 8.01 Other Events.
On October 7, 2011, White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. issued a press release announcing the completion of its previously announced sale of White Mountains, Inc. (which operates the Esurance business) and Answer Financial Inc. (which operates the Answer Financial agency business) to The Allstate Corporation.
A copy of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report.
