Newfield Exploration Announces Proposed $500 Million Public Offering of Senior Notes
 
HOUSTON, September 27, 2011 -- Newfield Exploration Company (NYSE: NFX) today announced a proposed $500 million public offering of Senior Notes due 2022. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to repay a portion of the borrowings outstanding under its credit arrangements. J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering.
