Item 5.03. Amendments to Articles of Incorporation or Bylaws; Change in Fiscal Year.
On September 16, 2011, the Board of Directors of Parks! America, Inc. (the “Company”) approved a change in the Company’s fiscal year end from December 31 to September 30, to align its fiscal periods more closely with the seasonality of its business. The Company will continue fiscal and quarterly reporting using a 52/53 week fiscal year and the fiscal year shall end on the Sunday that falls closest to September 30. As a result of this change, the fiscal year 2011 will end on October 2, 2011 (the “2011 Year-End”). The Company expects to file a transition report on Form 10-K for the period from December 27, 2010 to October 2, 2011 within 90 days of the 2011 Year-End.
