Item 8.01.      Other Events.

Due to the impact of Hurricane Irene, the Company closed Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags America, Six Flags New England, The Great Escape and La Ronde for all or portions of the August 27, 2011 weekend.  While the Company does not share interim quarterly data, closing so many parks over a busy summer weekend will negatively impact the Company’s financial performance in the third quarter of 2011.

As of the date of this filing, the Company is not aware of any significant physical damage to park assets, but the Company is in the midst of performing property cleanup and systems testing following power restoration.  Once that process is complete and weather permitting, the Company anticipates opening the parks as previously scheduled or within a few days of scheduled openings.
