Item 1.01. Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On August 22, 2011, BioRestorative Therapies, Inc. (the “Company”) entered into a Tangible Property License Agreement with the University of Utah Research Foundation and the University of Utah (the “Agreement”). Pursuant to the Agreement, which has a two year term, the Company has been granted a non-exclusive license to use discarded adipose (fat) tissue samples for internal research purposes.
Item 8.01. Other Events.
On August 25, 2011, the Company issued a press release (the “Press Release”) announcing the Agreement. A copy of the Press Release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
