Access National Corporation (Nasdaq: ANCX) announced on August 17, 2011 that it has declined to participate in the U.S. Department of Treasury Small Business Lending Fund (the “Fund”). A copy of the press release summarizing the announcement is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
